Numicon PD Calendar of Events Term 4 - 2024

Here is our calendar of events for term 4 2024. We have scheduled both online PD and face-to-face sessions. In addition to these sessions we can also book in a direct PD session for your school. Please download our PD brochure for pricing. 

We are also looking for schools to host our face-to-face Central sessions in each state and territory, so if you're interested please let us know at hello@skyrocketmaths.com.au. You will receive a free ticket valued at $350 for hosting the event. 

ONLINE - NUMICON INTERVENTION PROGRAM
4 x 3hr sessions - LIMITED NUMBERS

Dates and times:

  • Session 1: Monday 21st October 2024 - 9.30am to 12.30pm AEDT
  • Session 2: Monday 28th October 2024 - 9.30am to 12.30pm AEDT
  • Session 3: Monday 18th November 2024 - 9.30am to 12.30pm AEDT
  • Session 4: Monday 25th November  2024 - 9.30am to 12.30pm AEDT

    Cost:$475 including the NIP manual and £ 93.50 GBP for the Numicon Intervention online subscription available through Oxford University Press -  (we will help to arrange this) + optional $45 Online PD Resources pack.

    The Numicon Intervention Programme has been developed to support maths intervention for children aged 6+ working at Years 1 to 3 curriculum levels. The intervention lasts 12 weeks, with 2 or 3 lessons a week, depending upon pupils' needs.

    This course, delivered over 4 x three hour sessions and is specifically designed for those who will be delivering the program to the children.

    ONLINE - FREE - What is Numicon? A quick show-and-tell

    Time: 12.30pm to 1.15pm AEDT (good for WA schools!)
    Cost: FREE 

    Join us for a 45 minute online webinar exploring the Numicon approach and using Numicon manipulatives in the Maths classroom. This session is designed for both schools new to Numicon and parents and tutors interested in learning more about Numicon.

    ONLINE - FREE - Which intervention/catch-up Numicon program is best for our needs?

    Time: 1.30pm to 2.15pm AEDT (good for WA schools!)
    Cost: FREE 

    Join us for a 45 minute online webinar exploring the three Numicon intervention/catch-up programs; Numicon Intervention Program, Breaking Barriers and Big Ideas. This session is designed for both schools new to Numicon and schools who have already participated in Numicon PD and are interested in using a Numicon program in an intervention/catch-up setting.

    ONLINE - Numicon Big Ideas 

    Date: Wednesday 27th November 2024
    Time: 12.30pm to 2.30pm AEDT
    Cost: $50 + optional $45 Online PD Resources pack.

    Join us for a 2hr live online webinar exploring the Numicon Big Ideas resources. This session is designed for teachers who have already completed the Introduction to Numicon PD and are interested in learning how these resources could support their students with learning difficulties or gaps in Maths from ages 9 and up, as well as those schools interested in using these resources in an intervention setting. The Big Ideas resource is also suitable for supporting lower secondary students who have gaps in their learning.

    MELBOURNE Central session - Introduction to Numicon - Years F-2

    Get ready for 2025 and join us for a full-day face-to-face PD workshop in Melbourne exploring Numicon in Foundation to Year 2. This hands-on session is for schools and educators that are new to using Numicon. Register for an engaging day of PD exploring the Numicon Approach, Numicon resources and manipulatives, the Teacher Handbooks and implementation ideas enabling you to effectively introduce Numicon into your classroom.
